1) PC and Server
Pricing. The computers prices listed herein include shipping
costs (purchased direct) and 3-year, next-day, onsite warranty.
2) Automated Library
Systems. The software products mentioned herein are included
for illustrative purposes only, and no assumption of merit or recommendation should be made. Several other automated
library systems are available for use in small libraries and should be investigated thoroughly by library staff
before a purchase decision is made. See Library
Automation Vendors for more information regarding these
systems.
3) Salaries. The budget estimates provided do not include the cost of any staff labor required
in the purchase, setup, conversion of records, or further support and operation of the system. If it is determined
that additional staff may be required for any of these activities, appropriate salary expenditures should be added
to the estimates.
4) Site Preparation. The budget estimates provided do not include any site preparation costs, such
as the installation of new electrical circuits and outlets or remodeling of public areas, or costs for the furniture
required to make the computer workstations usable. Such costs must be added if required.
