Consulting Fees for consultation services include a per-hour or per-day charge, a travel charge, and travel expenses. Fee. Small consulting jobs requiring less than a day's service are charged at a rate of $75 per hour. The daily rate is $600. Flat fees for specific projects can be negotiated and are reflected in service agreements. A separate fee schedule applies to public access workstation security implementations and network security audits for public libraries. Travel charges. A charge for travel time is assessed when traveling to and from locations outside Corpus Christi, Texas. Travel time for consulting is charged at $25 per hour, capped at $175 per trip (up to 400 miles). Travel time to workshop/training sites is charged at a flat rate of $200 per trip. In addition to time charges, a mileage charge of $0.445 per mile to/from the client or presentation site for travel by car will be assessed. In the event air travel is required, airfare and associated car rental, gasoline, and ground transportation expenses shall be reimbursed by the client. Expenses. Reimbursement is required for actual expenses incurred (e.g., meals, lodging, airfare, taxis, parking, and others) both in traveling and during the consultation. Receipts for actual expenses shall be provided to the client. Workshops Workshop fees are based upon the amount of preparation required to organize and create the content of a presentation. A presentation fee is charged for all workshop sessions. This fee reflects the number of consecutive presentations (sessions) to be delivered. Workshops designed for a specific client include an additional charge for content creation. Permission to reproduce workshop materials for use by its employees or immediate members (e.g., for the staff of a library system's member libraries, but not for the patrons of its member libraries) may be obtained for some workshops.
