Workshop training is one of our primary services. Generally, we conduct our workshops as seminars using lecture/discussion/ demonstration formats, hands-on training sessions of up to twelve participants per session, and online as either self-paced or instructor-led classes. Future WorkshopsOur future workshop development will focus on low-cost software alternatives for public libraries and small community organizations. This will include training in using Linux, OpenOffice.org, and other Open Source Software. You can follow developments on our companion site, Low-Cost, Low-Maintenance Technology. Past WorkshopsBelow are links to more specific information regarding the workshops we have offered in the past. If you've attended one of these sessions, check the appropriate workshop page for updated materials, as well.
Workshops on RequestWe can conduct workshops on any of our past topics for your organization. These require as little as 60 days to schedule. We can customize the workshops so they fit more closely with your organization's goals. We have posted one of our presentations online: the Minimizing Mischief. Custom WorkshopsIs there an Internet, library technology, or small office technology topic you would like to have offered to your employees as a training opportunity? In many cases, we can develop a workshop to fit your organization's specific needs. E-mail us and let us know what topic you are interested in and what specifically you would like to see covered. We will respond with a proposal for the service, including estimated development time, tentative objectives and content, handouts, and fees. |
